Real Wedding : Of Bears and Books

Liana and Ben:
A literary love story with a touch of grrr

When Liana and Ben first got in touch, they weren’t quite sure what they were looking for in their wedding stationery – but the moment they saw my Penguin Books collection, they knew it was the one. Both book lovers, they wanted something timeless, personal, and full of character, and the classic Penguin design fitted their day perfectly.

They carried that literary theme beautifully throughout their celebration, even naming their tables after famous bears from beloved books – from Paddington to Winnie-the-Pooh – a playful and heartwarming touch that made me smile as I prepared their table stationery.

Here’s what Liana and Ben had to say about their experience:

“We came across Anna and her business Origami Fox when we weren't particularly sure of what we were after, but seeing the Penguin Books collection I knew it would be perfect for our wedding day.

The ordering process was incredibly easy, with very clear guidance and instructions provided. Communication with Anna was fantastic and she was completely unfazed by any late changes or us still needing to confirm details.

The designs and proofs were spot on and helped us feel super confident that everything would be smooth sailing.

The stationery is beautiful and high quality and we received everything in plenty of time for the day. It was packaged so well, labelled so everything was easy to find and I was delighted to see that Anna had everything separated out into envelopes for each table so that I had one less job to do myself.

The bookmark place cards also acted as our wedding favours and we were thrilled that every guest took theirs home with them at the end of the night. I've been to so many weddings where the favours get left behind but it was a testament to such a clever, useful design that they all went home for our guests to continue to enjoy.

I would 100% recommend Origami Fox to anyone looking for beautiful and unique wedding stationery.”

Hearing feedback like this always means the world to me. I loved creating their stationery – from the table plan dust jackets to the coordinating bookmark place cards that doubled as favours. There’s something so special about knowing their guests took those little keepsakes home to enjoy long after the wedding day.

Liana and Ben’s day was such a thoughtful blend of literature, love, and a touch of fun – the perfect reflection of the two of them.
